Acrylic Witch Finger Ornament

Every design starts as a small haunting in my head that won't leave until I make it. I illustrate each one myself, laser cut it from acrylic, and then spend an unholy amount of time on everything that comes after. The details are built through inlay work, with engraving where the finer lines live.

Every good haunting needs a proper burial plot. The coffin box is a template I designed from scratch and assemble by hand from 100lb linen paper. I tested an indefensible number of papers, glues, and tapes—archival quality, of course—because I'm dead set on this box outliving me. It isn't packaging. It's a proper resting place for the eleven months your ornament isn't haunting a tree.

As for where this one came from: I've never quite recovered from Halloween parties in elementary school. The cheap little trinkets handed out in goodie bags, the ones that broke by November and somehow still felt like treasure—consider this their resurrection. Same nostalgia, better materials, and no risk of it resting in pieces by Thanksgiving.

That's the whole point, really. I make these to be heirlooms—the ornament that rises every December, gets fought over at length, and eventually haunts the next generation of your family. Which also means no two are identical. Small variations and minor imperfections come with the territory when a person makes something instead of a machine, and I have yet to be replaced by one.

Pricing reflects that: quality materials I refuse to cut corners on, and the hours it takes to make each one by hand. The graveyard shift is not a figure of speech around here. Nothing is mass-produced, including the box.

Care Rituals

Clean with a soft, clean microfiber cloth, lightly damp with water and a drop of mild dish soap. Skip cotton, paper towels, and anything textured—they scratch mirror acrylic. Never use glass cleaner, ammonia, alcohol, acetone, or abrasive cleaners; solvents cause permanent clouding and will loosen the glass rhinestones she wears as warts, and a witch without her warts is just a finger. Avoid heat and direct sun. Handle by the edges. Return it to its coffin between seasons. Treat it well and it'll haunt your family for generations.

Scratched it? Not a catastrophe—a plastic polish kit (found at most hardware and plastics stores) will buff out light surface scratches with a soft cloth and a little patience. Work gently, avoid the engraved areas.

The Fine Print

Safety:

NOT A TOY. Contains small parts and glass rhinestones—keep away from children under 3 and curious pets. Handle with care; acrylic can chip if dropped.

Returns & Refunds

At this time, I’m not able to offer refunds on purchases. As a small, one-woman operation, I’m still navigating all the moving pieces that come with bringing this little haunt to life—so I truly appreciate your understanding (and patience) as I figure it all out.

That said, if something truly goes awry with your order, please don’t hesitate to reach out. If something feels off, cursed (in a bad way), or just not quite right, I want to hear about it. I’m always happy to chat and will do my best to make things right—no ghosting, no disappearing acts.

I would never want you to be stuck with something you don’t love. If something feels off, don’t suffer in silence—summon me at summon@loungingleo.com
