Who The Devil is "Lounging Leo"?
I’m a graphic designer, production artist, and product designer with over a decade of experience—and Lounging Leo is where all of that finally gets to come back from the dead. This brand was born out of frustration (I could never find clothes in my style and my size) and a desire to elevate loungewear for women who work hard and are dead serious about their lounging.
I design everything myself, with intention, transparency, and an obsessive attention to detail. My goal is to create high-quality, thoughtfully designed staples using natural materials—pieces that feel good, last, and don’t fall into the trap of mass-produced, landfill-core “luxury.” If you take care of them, they’ll haunt your closet forever.
Lounging Leo isn’t just loungewear—it’s a collection of everything I design, from wearable pieces to handmade oddities, all with a shared spooky undertone. It’s where I bring my original art to life across various mediums, inspired by nostalgic Halloween whimsy—from Victorian-inspired dark whimsy to kitschy mid-century charm to peak 90s/Y2K magic. Everything is created with intention: to be worn, gifted, kept, and loved—not just tossed into the void.

P.S. Dying to know how the name “Lounging Leo” came to life? The answer lies in two simple truths: I’m a Leo, and I fully intend to spend eternity lounging horizontally in my grave. And yes, lounging really is that serious—so much so, I made it my business. Literally.

The Branding, Unearthed
The Lounging Leo logo is inspired by my favorite city, Salem, Massachusetts, and the historic tombstones found throughout New England cemeteries. I’ve always been drawn to funerary art and the symbolism behind it—especially older cultural perspectives on death, like those from the Victorian era, where it wasn’t seen as an end, but more of a… stylish continuation. People kept the memory of their loved ones alive through meaningful objects and visual storytelling, which, frankly, feels very on brand.
The tombstone itself felt like the obvious choice: a place of eternal rest… or, in my case, eternal lounging. It ties back to the name in a way that feels both personal and a little tongue-in-cheek. If you’re going to lounge forever, you might as well commit to the bit.
You’ll also see the moon and star—symbols that have guided people across cultures for centuries. To me, they represent new beginnings, direction, and a quiet kind of magic, with a subtle nod to my Leo star sign. The moon is illustrated in a gibbous phase, echoing the lunar phase during Leo season (details matter, even from beyond the grave).
The color palette is my take on the classic Halloween tones so many of us grew up loving—nostalgic, a little dramatic, and impossible to ignore. Every element was illustrated by me, using my own photographs of tombstones taken during my trips to Salem, because if I’m referencing the dead, I’m doing it properly.

Lounging Leo is not a neutral haunt—it’s a values-driven one. My work has a point of view, and I stand by it. If that’s not your thing, there are other corners of the internet to haunt. So, here’s what’s carved into my headstone:

The patriarchy, fascism, AI-generated “art,” polyester masquerading as luxury, soulless mass production/fast fashion, and stealing from artists (living or otherwise). If it feels cheap, exploitative, or like it belongs in a landfill by next season, it’s not coming from me.
Things I’ll Die For (In The Best Way):
Small-batch production, quality over quantity, and ethical business practices—no scams, no shortcuts, no funny business. I believe in supporting small and local businesses, and showing up for women, immigrants, marginalized communities, LGBTQIA+ folks… and yes, friendly ghosts.
I make things with intention, price them honestly, and stand behind them. If you’re here for thoughtful design, good taste, and a little dark whimsy—you’re in the right crypt. If not, no hard feelings—consider yourself peacefully released.
From Materials to Magic
I put an almost suspicious amount of effort into sourcing my materials. Quality isn’t an afterthought—it’s the whole point. I choose materials with longevity in mind, focusing on how they’ll wear, age, and hold up over time—because if something is going to live in your wardrobe or home, it should be able to haunt it for years (in a good way).
I do my homework on the businesses I source from—who they are, how things are made, and whether it all feels above board. When possible, I prioritize small and local businesses, and I make an effort to source American-manufactured materials whenever I can. Supporting good people making good things? Groundbreaking, I know.
I’m not perfect—there’s no single “right” way to source materials—but I do my best to make informed, intentional choices. No mystery fibers, no cutting corners, no shady business (literally or figuratively). If it ends up in my work, it’s there for a reason.
Laser Cut Felt
Some of my wool felt pieces are cut with a laser cutter, which can leave behind a faint “burnt hair” smell (glamorous, I know). It’s simply the nature of working with natural fibers and high heat. I air everything out beforehand, but a subtle scent may still linger—it can soften over time, though a subtle difference may remain compared to felt cut without heat. Those who are especially sensitive to smells may notice it. Listings will always note if a piece was laser cut, so you know exactly what to expect.
Summon a Custom Piece
I’m always open to chatting about custom pieces—truly. If you have something in mind, feel free to reach out. My only requirement? It has to live comfortably in the Lounging Leo universe, which means a little spooky, a little whimsical, and very much on brand.
That said, I won’t say yes to every request. Sometimes it’s a matter of fit—it might not align with my style, my values, or it may fall outside my current scope. No hard feelings, just creative boundaries (even the afterlife has those).

No Tricks, Just Pricing
My pricing reflects the full scope of what goes into each piece—materials, production, labor, and the time and care it takes to design and make everything thoughtfully. I price my work as fairly and transparently as I can, based on those realities.
I understand that not everyone will be able to afford what I make, and that’s okay. My work isn’t meant to be accessible at every price point, and it’s not designed to compete with large-scale production or fast fashion. Lounging Leo is a one-woman operation, and everything is produced in small batches or made with intention rather than volume.
Because of that, my clothing is not inexpensive—but it is meant to be an investment. These are pieces designed to last, both in quality and in how they’re worn and enjoyed over time.
If my work resonates with you but isn’t within reach right now, I completely understand. Supporting a small business often comes with a higher price point, not as a barrier, but as a reflection of how and why the work is made.

Shipping is… a work in progress. I’m still figuring out the best approach as Lounging Leo grows and my lineup expands (turns out, shipping loungewear and spooky little oddities isn’t exactly one-size-fits-all). I’m testing, learning, and adjusting as I go—consider this section subject to gentle hauntings and future updates.
I’ll always include clear shipping details in each product listing so you know exactly what to expect before you check out. As I continue to learn and improve, I’ll update this section with any changes or improvements along the way.
My goal is to choose shipping options that are as economical as possible for you, while still being appropriate for the item itself. I care deeply about how your order arrives—because the unboxing (or unbagging) experience should feel just as good as what’s inside.
Returns & Refunds
At this time, I’m not able to offer refunds on purchases. As a small, one-woman operation, I’m still navigating all the moving pieces that come with bringing this little haunt to life—so I truly appreciate your understanding (and patience) as I figure it all out.
